Decolonial Feminism in Abya Yala Caribbean, Meso, and South American Contributions and Challenges

This collection of eleven chapters and an introduction explores key arguments in decolonial feminism, focusing on topics such as the coloniality of gender, critiques of white and Eurocentric feminisms, the intersection of gender, race, and colonialism, feminicides, and the coloniality of democracy and public institutions. The introduction traces the evolution of decolonial feminism from its roots in U.S. Third World feminism and scholarship on coloniality and decoloniality to its current prominence in Latin America and the Caribbean. The anthology aims to bridge the gap in awareness by providing translations of seven works originally in Spanish and three essays in English, shedding light on the core concepts of decolonial feminism and its contributions to contemporary political and intellectual discussions.
