Vivre une vie féministe

What does it mean to live a feminist life? What are its implications, obstacles, and consequences? To answer these questions, Sara Ahmed, a British researcher born in 1969 and a leading figure in queer phenomenology, explores the sensations and triggers that lead to becoming a feminist, the difficulty of imposing a "will on oneself" that deviates from a normative conception of happiness, and the links between feminist theory and the ordinary course of daily life. Drawing on the work of Audre Lorde and bell hooks, among others, she provides us with a feminist survival kit and suggests we become fulfilled killjoys .
