مقاربة النسوية لدراسة الرجولة: حالة نوال السعداوي

The author examines Nawal El Saadawi’s feminist approach to studying and understanding masculinities through her 1976 book, “Man and Sex”. It shows Saadawi’s rejection of biological essentialism and explanation of male sexuality, and its location within social, economic, political, religious and historical structures. It also understands sexual anxieties as socially produced rather than innate. The article highlights Saadawi’s effort in connecting men’s liberation to women’s liberation.
