In this article, the author argues that framing Palestinian women and children as “innocent” implicitly casts Palestinian men as threatening and less worthy of mourning. It links this gendered hierarchy to War on Terror narratives and Israeli settler colonialism, showing how such distinctions obscure violence against Palestinians as a whole.
