This paper examines masculinity as a changing identity shaped by social and cultural transformations. With a focus on Arab men, it explores tensions between patriarchal expectations of authority and newer demands for gender equality, framing the “crisis of masculinity” as a struggle between inherited privileges and adapting masculine identity to social change.
