Care at the core

The analysis of care is a central theme of feminism and specifically of feminist economics. Feminism politicises and denaturalises the social order that ensures paid and unpaid care. It demands the recognition, reduction and redistribution of care and the collective representation of those who carry out this work, the majority of whom are women. These demands are based on the necessary transformation of this field, understood as private, into a public issue.
