Confronting Sexual Violence and Abuse in the Aid Industrial Complex Towards Transnational Feminist Responses

In this Thinkpiece from the Gender and Development Network (GADN), published in 2018 following the revelations of sexual harassment and abuse in the aid sector, Zimbabwe-based feminist activist Nancy Kachingwe reflects upon the crisis around sexual violence and abuse in the aid sector. She argues that the response must go beyond safeguarding towards a ‘transnational feminist response’ that addresses the deeper issues of privilege, power and exclusion within the sector.
