Development, Crises, and Alternative Visions: Third World Women’s Perspectives

This book is the first stage of a programme of action undertaken by a network of activists, researchers and planners who have been engaged in the elaboration of alternative development policies, strategies and methods aimed at achieving goals of social and economic justice, peace and growth, free from any form of oppression based on gender, race or nationality. Most of the participants have experience of action or research within women's movements over the last ten years, but it is our intention that this effort will also include all those who share the same experience. We intend that this effort will also include all those who share our broad views on society.
