Empathy to fight colonial abhorrence and amnesia: global solidarity with and disability justice in Palestine, Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo as moral imperative

The author argues that current colonial violence (in Palestine, Sudan, and the DRC) is not limited to death, but actively aims to disable populations through bombings, food deprivation, sexual violence, and the destruction of healthcare infrastructure. Ignoring these dimensions of "disablement” is tantamount to ignoring the very reality of genocide. Solidarity must therefore shift from pity to justice that recognizes survivors not as passive victims, but as leaders of resistance.
