In the Pursuit of Reproductive Justice in Lebanon

Reproductive justice, reproductive rights, and reproductive health are often used interchangeably. While these concepts do not intentionally contradict one another, they do however hold different commitments, approaches, and actions. More importantly, the contexts wherein they have emerged are significant to their different usages. The development of this paper takes the form of exposition; its methodology and format are atypical. While it may appear that there is a plethora of questions asked, there is but one question posed, albeit a large one: can a Reproductive Justice approach and analysis be a praxis befitting the multitude of our struggles in a Lebanese context? The process of asking this question, in and of itself, answers it, as it is an exercise in adopting a Reproductive Justice framework.
