By challenging the contradictions of colonial and racist practices and narratives, in this article, we are sowing the seeds of their overcoming (Figueroa, 2015). We also hope we can contribute to other fellow migrants and minorities in their search for appropriate tools to make sense of and confront injustice and exclusion within and beyond Aotearoa.
