Ghosh defines not just what neoliberalism is, but what it isn't as well. She explains the fundemental axioms about human behavior that neoliberalism relies on, which posits everything as a possible commoditiy, and is rooted in ideas of utilitarianism and possessive individualism. Throughout the session, she introduces terms such as privitization, market monopoly, economic externality, among others, alongside strategies of resistance, most notably by feminists.
