The Architecture of Structural Violence

In this reading list, we invite you to explore and unpack the meaning of structural violence from a feminist political economy and decolonial approach. You will find recommended readings and multimedia resources that help understand what structural violence is, how it manifests in our bodies and territories, and how the colonial gender system has been historically structured through violence. This selection also offers pathways to imagine and envision feminist, anticolonial, abolitionist, and reparative futures.

All the resources are authored by Global South feminists. For a more comprehensive collection on this and other feminist topics, visit the South Feminist Knowledge Hub.

We welcome your contributions! If you know of other resources that should be included in this reading list, please submit them via this form or email us at knowledgehub@southfeministfutures.org.
