The world is extremely off track in keeping global warming below 1.5 degrees, and the window of opportunity to act is narrowing. In a year where almost half the world’s population has voted or will be voting in national elections, it is more critical than ever to champion policy platforms that guarantee gender equality, human rights, and the protection of our planet.
