Building South Feminist Genealogies

Reading list for Building South Feminist Genealogies – A Dialogue on Memory, Resistance and Insurgent Epistemologies – to mark the one-year anniversary of the South Feminist Knowledge Hub. This dialogue seeks to build feminist genealogies of the South — as a form of memory, continuity, and political power. We gather to explore how feminist knowledge production is a decolonial act of resistance; why we speak of situated knowledges; how we unlearn and break away from colonial logics in our ways of thinking, researching, and creating; and why theorising our practices is just as important as putting our theories into practice.

Decolonial Knowledge Production and Archiving: Challenges colonial epistemologies by centering embodied, local, and feminist knowledges, preserving marginalised histories, and reclaiming how knowledge is created, remembered, shared within South feminist genealogical frameworks.
